Brookhurst Place | Multifamily Housing | Garden Grove, California
I was brought in as a consultant to Starq Inc. and DNA Architecture to assist in the design and documentation of the second phase of this iconic development in Garden Grove. The second phase included 334 loft units (120 of which were affordable housing) in 3 Type V podium buildings which included open spaces at the podium level for gathering and events as well as a 1 acre park and pedestrian and bike trails. Detailed attention was paid to the facades of the buildings in order to create a dynamic and interesting aesthetic. Unique accent colors, screens, fenestration arrangement, and façade depths were used to produce a truly exceptional façade for this development that sits at one of the busiest commercial corridors in Garden Grove.
